  Champion Herbs was founded by Angie Ngai, the founder of the Chinese-American Family Coalition of New Jersey (CAFC). Mrs. Ngai has constantly promoted engagement with traditional Chinese culture through her work with the 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization, from providing enrichment classes for local youths to organizing community events and festivities showcasing Chinese art and music. In 2015, Mrs. Ngai decided to combine her extensive tea knowledge and her enthusiasm towards sharing Chinese traditional culture to establish Champion Herbs .

Thus, along with providing the highest quality tea wholesale, Champion Herbs provides tea courses and consultation services to educate people on the history and health benefits of various types of tea. The quality of the tea itself is highly controlled by Mrs. Ngai and her team, comprised of experts on tea and traditional Chinese herbal medicine. Rather than relying on intermediaries, Mrs. Ngai visits tea plantations in China so as to personally select and import the highest quality tea leaves and herbal teas.
